A: Yes. Our programs are customized to meet the needs of the individual student. We offer school support programs (SSP) to help students improve grades and understand school material.
A: Intellect offers educational evaluations as a tool to assess and monitor progress. We offer nationally-recognized evaluations to pinpoint your child’s academic strengths and weaknesses. You receive an analysis of the results and a consult with one of our education specialists with this evaluation.
A: Most of our tutors hold teaching certificates and work within the local school systems. All of our tutors hold a minimum of a Bachelor Degree and many have Master’s Degrees. Many of our tutors have endorsements in special education and have experience working with students with ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, autism, and specific math or reading disabilities. We work hard to ensure each student is placed with a teacher that best meets his or her specific needs.
A: Schedules vary for each student and depend on many factors, including the goals of the student program and how many subjects a student is working on with us. We provide flexible schedule options and are open most days until 8:00 pm, and on Saturdays as well.
A: We focus on content and strategies specific to your child’s needs- we build on your child’s strengths while focusing on the areas that need improvement. Students take REAL ACT and SAT Exams to gain practice and monitor progress. Many courses available offer just generalized strategies but at ILC, a student works at his or her own pace in a one-to-one or small group setting. Students are provided with customized packets to meet their specific needs. Our tutors are experts in the area they instruct.
